On July 3, 2026, the INTENSE Program officially inaugurated its Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, located at the Office for International Study Programs (OISP), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. The opening of the office marks an important milestone in the Program’s expansion in Vietnam and establishes its third representative office, following those in Taiwan and Hanoi.
The Ho Chi Minh City Representative Office will serve as the Program’s regional hub in southern Vietnam, supporting academic cooperation, scholarship promotion, and partnership development between universities and institutions in Vietnam and Taiwan. The office is also expected to strengthen collaboration in education, scientific research, academic exchange, and talent development.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of representatives from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech), the INTENSE Program Coordination Team, and delegates from partner universities and organizations in both Vietnam and Taiwan.
During the ceremony, participants joined several activities, including:
- The signboard unveiling and ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially marking the opening of the INTENSE Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City.
- A networking and discussion session, where delegates exchanged ideas, shared future development plans, and explored opportunities for academic and institutional collaboration.
- A guided tour of the new office, followed by a commemorative photo session to celebrate this important milestone.
The establishment of the Representative Office reflects the INTENSE Program’s long-term commitment to strengthening educational cooperation between Vietnam and Taiwan. By serving as a local coordination center, the office will provide greater support for students, faculty members, researchers, and partner institutions while expanding opportunities for scholarships, academic exchange, and international collaboration.
