On August 11, 2026, a delegation from the INTENSE Program visited and held a working session with Hue University. The meeting focused on training needs and potential cooperation in developing human resources for key fields, including STEM, semiconductor technology, and finance.

The INTENSE delegation included representatives of the INTENSE Program Coordination Office in Vietnam and the following Taiwanese universities:
- National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST)

- Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LHU)
- Tamkang University (TKU)
- Da-Yeh University (DYU)
2. Representatives of Hue University
Representatives of Hue University included:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Thi Xuan Dung – Vice President of Hue University;
- Representatives of the Hue University Office;
- Representatives of the Department of Academic and Student Affairs;
- Representatives of the Department of Science, Technology and International Relations;
- Leaders and representatives of relevant departments from the University of Sciences, University of Economics, University of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Education, and School of Engineering and Technology.
KEY DISCUSSIONS
During the meeting, representatives of the INTENSE Program provided an overview of the INTENSE Scholarship Program, available support, and study opportunities in Taiwan for Vietnamese students.
Representatives of the participating Taiwanese universities also introduced their institutions, academic programs, and available fields of study. The parties then discussed Hue University’s training needs, potential implementation plans, and proposals for future cooperation.
The discussions focused on:
- Education and human resource development in STEM fields;
- Workforce development for the semiconductor industry;
- Finance-related academic programs;
- Study opportunities at Taiwanese universities;
- Potential connections and collaborative activities among the participating institutions.
STRENGTHENING CONNECTIONS AND COOPERATION
The meeting provided an opportunity for the INTENSE Program, participating Taiwanese universities, and Hue University to exchange views directly on training needs, development priorities, and potential areas of cooperation.
