On July 28, 2025, INTACT Base Vietnam, in collaboration with the Da Nang Investment Promotion Support Center under the Office of the Da Nang People’s Committee, hosted a workshop introducing the INTENSE Scholarship Program in Da Nang. The event in Da Nang attracted around 80 students, teachers, and parents, aiming to provide young Vietnamese with comprehensive information on study, research, and career development opportunities in Taiwan in the fields of STEM, semiconductors and finance.

The INTENSE Scholarship is a flagship program of Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, designed to attract outstanding international students to study and work in key industries, especially the semiconductor sector. The program offers full tuition coverage, living stipends, and opportunities for internships at leading technology corporations such as TSMC, UMC, MediaTek, ASE, etc.

Speaking at the remarks, Prof. Chao-Lung Yang, PI of the INTENSE Program in Vietnam, expressed his expectation that the program will become a solid bridge for Vietnam – Taiwan educational cooperation, enabling students to gain not only in-depth academic knowledge but also practical workplace experience. Assist.Prof.Duc-Thang Vo, Co-PI of the Program, emphasized that the university–enterprise training model will help students develop clear career orientations and be well-prepared to join the global semiconductor value chain.

The workshop also recorded a high level of interest from students, teachers, and parents. Many questions regarding eligibility, majors, and career prospects were raised and answered directly. The series of introductory events has not only provided valuable scholarship information but also contributed to promoting international cooperation in education and the development of a high-tech workforce, affirming the potential of Vietnam’s young talent on the global stage.
