On August 14, 2026, a delegation from the INTENSE Program visited and held a working session with Quy Nhon University. The visit was part of the Program’s efforts to strengthen connections with higher education institutions in Vietnam and share information about the INTENSE Scholarship Program and study opportunities in Taiwan.
PARTICIPANTS
Representatives of Quy Nhon University included:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Tung – Rector;
- Dr. Ha Thanh Hai – Vice Rector;
- Representatives of the University’s faculties and relevant departments.
The INTENSE delegation included representatives of the INTENSE Program Coordination Office in Vietnam and participating Taiwanese universities.
KEY DISCUSSIONS
During the meeting, Quy Nhon University and the participating Taiwanese universities introduced their educational orientations, academic strengths, and international cooperation activities.
The parties also discussed potential areas of cooperation, including:
- Student, faculty, and staff exchanges;
- Scholarship programs;
- Joint research;
- Development and implementation of joint academic programs;
- Short-term exchange and study programs.
The discussions provided a foundation for the participating institutions to further explore collaborative activities aligned with their respective educational needs and academic strengths. 
EXCHANGE OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN QUY NHON UNIVERSITY AND DA-YEH UNIVERSITY
As part of the working session, a ceremony was held to exchange the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Quy Nhon University and Da-Yeh University.
The exchange marked an important milestone in the partnership between the two institutions and established a foundation for future cooperation in academic exchange, education, and other collaborative activities.
INTENSE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM INFORMATION SESSION
In the afternoon, an information session on the INTENSE Scholarship Program was organized for students in Quy Nhon and the surrounding areas.
The session provided information on:
- An overview of the INTENSE Scholarship Program;
- Scholarship support and study opportunities in Taiwan;
- Academic programs offered by participating Taiwanese universities;
- Eligibility requirements and the application process;
- Opportunities to speak directly with representatives of the INTENSE Program and Taiwanese universities.
The participating Taiwanese universities included:
- National Taiwan University of Science and Technology – Taiwan Tech (NTUST);
- Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LHU);
- Tamkang University (TKU);
- Da-Yeh University (DYU).
During the interactive session, students had the opportunity to ask questions and speak directly with university representatives about available fields of study, academic programs, scholarships, and educational opportunities in Taiwan.
STRENGTHENING CONNECTIONS AND EXPANDING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
The working session and information session strengthened connections among the INTENSE Program, participating Taiwanese universities, and Quy Nhon University. They also helped bring information about the Program closer to students in Quy Nhon and neighboring areas.
The INTENSE Program sincerely appreciates Quy Nhon University’s warm welcome and valuable support, particularly in coordinating the event, welcoming the delegation, and connecting the Program with local students. We hope the discussions will provide a foundation for practical cooperation among the participating institutions in the future.
