The INTENSE Program in Vietnam (INTENSE Base Vietnam) recently held a strategic meeting with the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) to discuss future collaboration in education, research, and international talent development. The meeting was conducted under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two organizations, marking another important step in expanding academic and industry cooperation between Vietnam and Taiwan.

UEH Shares Its Global Development Strategy
During the meeting, UEH introduced its strategic vision, “Go Global, Empower Local,” which aims to build a multidisciplinary university with a strong commitment to internationalization and sustainable development.

Taiwan Tech and INTENSE Present Industry-Oriented Education Model
Representatives from the INTENSE Program introduced Taiwan Tech and its education model that closely integrates academic learning with industry collaboration, enabling students to develop practical skills and enhance their global employability.
Taiwan Tech is internationally recognized for its excellence in Engineering and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. It is also the only university of science and technology in Taiwan ranked among the Top 100 worldwide for graduate employability in the GEURS 2025 rankings, placing 2nd in Taiwan and 19th in Asia.
Expanding Collaboration in Emerging Industries
Building on the strengths of both institutions, the two parties discussed several future areas of cooperation, including:

- Interdisciplinary Academic Programs
- Industry Partnerships and International Talent Development
These initiatives are expected to foster innovative educational opportunities while preparing highly skilled professionals to meet the evolving needs of industries in Vietnam, Taiwan, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
Supporting Students Through Practical Collaboration
In addition to exploring new strategic initiatives, INTENSE and UEH are actively implementing programs that directly benefit students.
A notable example is the launch of two INTENSE × UEH Mandarin Class (IUEH) courses on June 29, offering free Chinese language education to UEH students. The program is designed to strengthen language proficiency and better prepare participants for academic exchange, internships, and career opportunities in Taiwan.
Through these initiatives, students gain not only language skills but also greater access to international education pathways and professional development opportunities.
Strengthening Long-Term Partnership
The meeting concluded in a constructive and collaborative atmosphere, further reinforcing the partnership between the INTENSE Program and UEH.
Moving forward, both parties will continue working together to develop impactful initiatives in education, research, industry collaboration, and international talent cultivation, creating more opportunities for Vietnamese students to study, work, and thrive in a global environment.
