On July 23, the workshop “Introducing the INTENSE Scholarship Program and Career Opportunities in STEM, Semiconductor, and Finance” was held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). The event aimed to foster international collaboration in education, develop a high-quality workforce for Vietnam, and connect the Vietnamese young generation with global career opportunities.
The workshop was co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR), INTACT Base Vietnam and HUTECH.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyễn Đức Huy – Deputy Director of HCMC C4IR – provided an overview of the center’s role and mission in connecting technological resources, promoting innovation, and developing a high-quality workforce in Vietnam. He emphasized that HCMC C4IR serves not only as a bridge between government agencies, enterprises and the scientific-technology community but also as a platform to support and connect individuals and organizations eager to contribute to the nation’s technological growth.
Mr. Nguyễn Đức Huy hopes that young Vietnamese students will make positive contributions to Vietnam’s technological development
Mr. Huy expressed his hope that the information on STEM programs and scholarships would be widely shared among students and institutions, creating more opportunities to access international programs in STEM, semiconductors and finance. This, he noted, would help young people grow personally while contributing to Vietnam’s technological advancement.
Representing HUTECH’s leadership, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Phương – Vice Rector of HUTECH – highlighted the university’s history and its application-oriented training approach. He affirmed that this program aligns perfectly with the university’s development direction and offers students a valuable opportunity to learn, practice, and become professionals meeting the expectations of both society and industry. “I hope our students will actively engage, absorb knowledge and experience from this program, and continuously improve themselves to be ready for new opportunities ahead,” he shared.
